Meet our Pastor

Heading Home. Bringing Others.

Pastor Mark R. Orr

Warm greetings!

I am thankful you have arrived at our website. New Beginnings Bible Fellowship is one of God’s “Lost and Found” departments! Our church is a place where people from all walks of life can come together without pretense in the fellowship of Christ as repentant sinners in search of the truth of God’s love for all.

We are a group of faithful followers of the Lord Jesus as He leads us homeward. We have pledged to love and care for one another on this journey, certain that along the way fellow travelers looking for a community of faith to belong to will find their home here.

We believe one of the main reasons He has called us together is to reach out to those who may not have heard the great news of Christ’s love for humanity, and to offer them the hope we have found. To this end, I am His servant, seeking to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) and the Great Commandment (John 15:12) given by Jesus Himself. In other words, we are “Heading Home, Bringing Others.”

As a pastor firmly rooted in biblical centrality and compelled by the tenants of the Protestant Reformation, I am dedicated to preaching the gospel of Christ as the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; loving and nurturing those the Lord calls; and preparing the way for believers and seekers of the Truth.

About Mark

On a personal note: my call to ministry came from an early age, though I had difficulty hearing that call as I was distracted by the things the world – apart from Jesus – had to offer. In time I found that Jesus is not one to be ignored! He lovingly persisted in His call until my heart was made ready to listen! My surrender to Jesus brought His peace and power, initiating a journey that has taken me beyond my wildest expectations!

Though a life dedicated to ministry can be difficult at times, God is faithful to renew the strength of those He calls. The rewards God has in store for His people in heaven will far outweigh the struggles we may endure here on earth.

As I look back on some of the choices I made for my life before I fully gave it over to Jesus, I am overwhelmed every day with gratitude for the grace God has given me, His steadfast servant. That same grace is available to anyone who is willing to turn their heart over to Jesus too. If you are wondering how that can possibly be true for you, I am hopeful I can provide the answers you need to take the first step towards the inward peace, outward joy and eternal life found in Jesus!

It is our desire to help you know Jesus personally in any way that we can. We are beggars who have found THE source of food. It is food that feeds the soul and leads to everlasting life!

I pray that as our paths have crossed, the result may be an eternal relationship.

We are heading home. Will you join us?

Lovingly, Pastor Mark
